Meet  the Creators

In 2012, friends Holli Rae & Sara Landas felt frustrated by seeing the same stereotypical roles and stories for women in media. They knew there were millions of other women out there also seeking inspiration, authenticity and diversity, so they took a leap of faith and combined their skills to create the grassroots documentary film of their dreams!

After selling all of their belongings, a series of serendipitous events and a successful Kickstarter campaign, they packed their lives into a beautifully painted school bus and hit the road with the goal of creating more representation for women in media.

Throughout their 6 month and 10,000 mile journey, they connected with incredible people everywhere they went. Through word of mouth, social media, and the goodwill of strangers, they sat down with over 100 women from varying perspectives across the nation.

The duo wore all the hats of a film crew and interviewed artists, mothers, healers, businesswomen and scholars about the life-changing experiences that shaped them to become who they are today.

Each day they woke up not knowing what they would find, continually amazed by the women who were ready and willing to share their stories.
